Testing Urban Decay’s Stay Naked Weightless Foundation + Laura Mercier’s NEW Honey Translucent Setting PowderMarch 19, 2021
I will admit that I’ve neglected you all for a little bit, but I’m back and here to review a new (new to me) foundation! Earlier this week I took a trip to Ulta Beauty and decided to grab a new foundation since I’m nearly out of all the ones I currently have. If you’ve read other foundation posts of mine, then you know that I love a good base, and finding the perfect foundation is key to a great application.
What I Bought
1. Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Foundation
11. Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder in Honey

I’ve been eyeing this foundation for a while, and one thing I can say that I love about Urban Decay is that is definitely has staying power... a.k.a. I can go hours without having to touch up my makeup or wondering about it slipping or transferring.
I grabbed the shade 60WR which is described as Medium- Dark Warm with Rich Undertone. Initially I was shade matched as 60WO which has a peach undertone instead of red. I prefer a red undertone since I tend to grab golden concealers and powders, so the red and golden can balance each other out.
When I first applied the foundation, I couldn’t see the red undertone so was nervous that it wouldn’t work. However; once it’s blended out, it looked amazing and matched my face well. It’s a natural matte finish and can be built up to fit your coverage needs. I was able to apply two layers and it didn’t feel heavy or look cakey at all!
I tend to have dehydrated skin, but applied it over a hydrating primer and it looked smooth and didn’t crack or flake like some matte foundations. Since I know that I like the finish of this foundation, I’m curious to try the other shade I matched for and also the Stay Naked Correcting Concealer

Finally, I was able to try the new shade, Honey. I’d describe this shade as banana with peachy tones. I was a little nervous because it applied lighter than what it looked in the jar, but once you set your face with spray, the true color peeps through. I’m hoping that they come out with a shade that’s in between Honey and Medium Deep because I feel that would be perfect! As a brown girl, trying new powders can be scary. Lots of powders show up “ashy” and dry/cakey, but Laura Mercier never disappoints! I’m still trying to decide if I prefer this powder of my Fenty Beauty Pro’ Filter Setting Powder in the shade Honey!
Overall Opinion: I definitely see myself repurchasing both of these products! They work well with my other products and I don’t have to worry about my makeup collecting oil throughout the day.
